Responsibilities:

  • Manage the production timeline for entire season cycle, from development to delivery, and drive processes to continuously improve the product calendar ensuring key dates and milestones are met
  • Manage time-and-action plans for each vendor and product line, communicate important dates and requirements to cross functional partners
  • Manage relationships with domestic and overseas vendors and mills; including price negotiation, performance evaluation, and adherence to compliance and quality standards
  • Partner with Design and Merchandising teams throughout the production process to ensure design integrity and quality execution
  • Drive the product testing process and communicate potential Product Safety/Quality Assurance issues to cross functional partners
  • Build and execute long-term sourcing strategy and sustainability model within the sourcing chain
  • Manage and/or collaborate on all pre-costing activities to provide targeted product costs and delivery requirements
  • Develop fabric and production capacity reservations ensuring the use or resolution of outstanding liabilities to minimize financial exposure
  • Lead global quality programs based on our product strategy, consumer-focused requirements, and global sustainability opportunities. Ensure product compliance with all government and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in apparel sourcing and production, activewear and/or outdoor apparel experience a plus
  • Experience in garment costing – creating targets, counter-costing and vendor negotiation
  • Experience working directly with factories, managing vendor relationships, and onboarding new vendors
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a demonstrated history of building strong relationships with cross functional partners
  • In-depth knowledge of the technical construction and performance expectations for activewear and/or outdoor apparel
  • Experience creating and implementing production processes that achieve costing, quality, and delivery objectives, while protecting design integrity
  • Experience creating Quick-turn and Speed-to-Market programs
  • A people leader with team management experience
