Outdoor Voices is looking for a Social Media Manager to develop OV’s owned content strategy and manage our organic social media channels. In this role, you will translate key brand and business stories into unique social content to engage and grow the Doing Things community.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop OV's owned content strategy across existing social channels (e.g. IG) and develop strategies for new and emerging channels (e.g. TikTok)
  • Manage and operate OV’s organic social media channels ensuring consistency in message, tone, and style across platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create and source content that will support your channel growth strategies
  • Translate key brand and business stories into unique social media content, in partnership with the Marketing, Merch, and Creative
  • Curate a social media marketing calendar that keeps key product moments and marketing initiatives on the forefront while ensuring the content is engaging and relevant
  • Analyze data and performance, drawing out actionable insights and tweaking strategy as needed to hit KPIs
  • Identify strong UGC and both paid/unpaid influencer opportunities
  • Be an advocate for OV in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Keep up with trends in social media tools, applications, channels, and strategy to determine which are relevant for OV
  • Spearhead innovation and forward-thinking around community growth and engagement

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in content strategy, content creation, and social media management at an agency and/or consumer-facing brand
  • Curious self-starter with a growth mindset. You stay apprised of social media trends in the competitive landscape and share actionable insights with enthusiasm
  • An eye for smart, creative, and effective content. You appreciate and admire the art of high-quality brand content
  • A team player who’s comfortable multitasking and shows strong analytical skills
  • Excellent writing and language skills, especially as it relates to brand story-telling
  • Experience with Dash Hudson a plus
